As I delved deeper into the study of psychology and sought to understand the human psyche, I became increasingly intrigued by the unconscious and subconscious mind. Our perception of ourselves and what we are consciously aware of may seem vast and complex, but it cannot be compared to the wealth of content residing in our unconscious mind.

In the front part of the blazer, I express the practical, objective ego (or conscious mind). It is made up of different colors representing the complexity and diversity of thoughts and patterns existing in this aspect of our psyche. However, these colors follow a similar and organized paint stroke, symbolizing a complex yet contained, rational ego.

The back represents subconscious, containing an infinite reservoir of content that we do not always access but that always exists. With the phrase "The unnoticed and unexplained thoughts and feelings that live behind the naive idea of a sane self," I acknowledge that beneath the facade of sanity that we all strive to project to the world, there exists an infinite array of thoughts and feelings within our unconscious minds.
