The Persona is the version of ourselves that we put out to the world – a kind of mask that we use for adaptation and/or personal convenience. It can be used strategically in different settings, but when one is highly identified with it, one lives in a permanent state of concern about what people think and is unconscious of any distinction between oneself and the world in which one lives.

Although the persona is a real and an important part of the individual's psyche and external adaptation, the human psyche is much more than that. It's a system made up of conscious and unconscious content and behaviors, the later being represented in different cultures and in psychological theories as the ocean. 

Through this jacket we acknowledge and honor these two important aspects of the psyche – the persona and the unconscious – while also (and always) asking ourselves if we're detached enough from our masks and courageous enough to connect with what's unconscious.

CARE

Do NOT soak in water. Hand wash in cold water gently by dapping the key areas with a slightly soapy wet sponge. Avoid ironing and using harsh or chemical products.
